Dr Caroline Wall at GP London W1

Dr Caroline Wall

MBBS BSc (Hons) MRCGP AICSM

I’m Dr Caroline Wall, one of the partners of GP London W1. I moved to private practice because I missed building that lasting patient-doctor relationship which means getting to know the whole family.

I love the family side of the practice. I have a young family myself, and I’ve recently been through those life-changing moments – pregnancy, childbirth, coping with young babies and children, and the transition of balancing home and work life. I feel very personally involved in those aspects, which enhances my care.

The challenge in being a GP is always the uncertainty of knowing when to investigate and when to reassure. However, in our private practice we have more time, better resources, and prompt access to secondary, specialist care and investigations, so we feel much more confident and supported.

As a team, we bring different strengths based on our experience and training. Fiona’s background is in obstetrics and gynaecology, Justine has advanced qualifications in women’s medicine, and I trained in acute medicine care and anaesthetics before moving into general practice.

Alongside the conferences and meetings we attend, I follow a lot of medical professionals on social media and find it a fascinating way to digest new developments. I think the approval of semaglutide for weight management could be a game-changer in preventative medicine.

Switching off from work is essential for both my patients and me. I have three young children, and I prioritise time spent outside with my family and our dog.

Kind Words from our Patients

“Dr Caroline Wall is not only a truly empathetic and understanding person, she is also a highly thorough, knowledgeable, committed guide who listens to the ‘whole person’ and makes things happen. Her interventions are focused and always effective, and referrals to specialist consultants have consistently yielded excellent results – I know I am always in the safest, kindest, most expert hands. Dr Wall is my first port of call when any health issue arises – I always feel heard and cared about and wouldn’t make a medical decision without her.”
